Profile

I graduated with honours in Botany from A.M College ,Gaya in 1990 and obtained M.Sc. (Botany) with specialization in Cytogenetics and Plant Breeding from Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya in 1993. I qualified B E T ( Bihar Eligibility Test ) for Lectureship held in 1996 and conducted by Bihar State University Service Commission,Patna . BET is a state level eligibilty test accredited by UGC ,New Delhi. I was awarded Ph.D in Botany by Magadh University, Bodh-Gaya in 2007 . I qualified in various national level entrance tests which included RET ( Research Entrance Test ) conducted by BHU , JRF entrance test conducted by I S I ,Calcutta and CEEB test conducted by JNU for admission to M.Tech Biotechnology . I started my teaching career on Adhoc basis in the Department of Botany in B.N College ,Patna ( Patna University) and then joined Mirza Ghalib College,Gaya in July 2005 .Since then I have been teaching continuously here. I am also associated with the department of Biotechnology and teaching Biotechnology to B.Sc (Hons)Biotechnology students. I have published five research papers in national and international journals. I have also published three articles on the important topics of Biotechnology. Presently I am writing a monograph on Parthenium hysterophorus. My area of interest includes Molecular Biology ,Microbial Genetics , Cytogenetics ,Plant Biotechnology ,Animal Cell Biotechnology etc. I have participated in more than seventeen seminars ,conferences ,symposia and workshops and presented research papers.
